Description

Purify genomic DNA in 20 minutes.

The gSYNC Mini Kit synchronizes the Genomic DNA Mini Kit (Blood) and Genomic DNA Mini Kit (Tissue) into one convenient product utilizing Proteinase K lysis for both tissue and blood. The operation time is dramatically reduced, making the gSYNC Mini Kit a very efficient method for purifying total DNA (including genomic, mitochondrial and viral DNA) from whole blood (fresh/frozen blood), tissue, paraffin-embedded tissue, buccal swabs, bacteria and amniotic fluid. Chaotropic salst are used to lyse cells and degrade protein, allowing DNA to bind to the glass fibre matrix of the spin column. Contaminants are removed using a Wash Buffer and the purified genomic DNA is eluted – without contaminating fibres in the eluate!

The entire procedure can be completed in less than 30 minutes with an average DNA yield of 6-7 μg from 200 μl of whole human blood. Purified DNA, with an average size of approximately 20-30 kb, is suitable for use in qPCR, PCR or other enzymatic reactions.
